A Bell 206 with the tail number N16869 that was featured in an earlier story here was substantially damaged in an incident yesterday. According to this preliminary report, the Bell 206B registered to Helico landed hard enough to bend the tail boom. The pilot was the only person on board and this occurred near Lyons, Oregon. So after the trip up from Lake Tahoe that led to a precautionary landing by the freeway, it ends up in this situation not even a week later. I haven’t found any further information besides what is in the report, if I find more I’ll update as usual.
